Building

Running my own infrastructure on decades-old technology: m4, SMTP, DNS, HTML, CGI, JavaScript, OpenBSD, CSS, SVG. No frameworks. No managed services. Just protocols and programs. Some call it retro computing. These tools formed me.

Studying

Going deep into the Unix philosophy. Bell Labs. Plan 9. Simplicity and generality as design principles, not aphorisms. Foundations of good system design exist. They outlast hype. The more I study them, the deeper I see.
